In July, the 5G + L4 level smart heavy truck built by SAIC Hongyan and Youdao Zhitu will carry out the pilot work of intelligent connected vehicle access and road access in Danzhou. On June 4, the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the notice of "four departments orderly carry out intelligent connected vehicle access and road traffic pilot", announced the first batch of 9 intelligent connected vehicle access and road traffic pilot consortium, SAIC Hongyan together with Youdao Zhito became the only representative of truck enterprises.
In today's busy Yangpu Port, trucks need to wait in line, which takes more than 10 hours. The pain point of high labor cost and low efficiency needs to be solved urgently. With the advantages of cost reduction, efficiency increase and safety improvement, the intelligent connected vehicles will solve these problems easily. The pilot SAIC Hongyan 5G + L4 intelligent heavy truck will ensure that the truck can understand the road conditions and the end vehicle conditions through the "vehicle, road and cloud integration" at the starting point, so as to maximize the traffic efficiency. The pilot operation scope is for Yangpu Port and its surrounding areas, including the transfer of the port yard and the social road around the park, the pilot driving line from Yangpu Port to Yangpu Petrochemical Industrial Park, a total of 15.3 kilometers.
Saic Hongyan 5G + L4 intelligent heavy truck is equipped with intelligent driving system, which has rich automatic driving functions such as following, formation, overtaking, road closure, unprotected left turn, multi-car entry and remittance game, narrow garage parking, fixed point parking, traffic light identification, gate identification and so on. At present, the vehicle has successfully achieved L4 level autonomous driving, cm-level positioning, accurate parking (± 3cm), 886 hazard scenario identification and 1,037 functional safety tests in specific scenarios. It is equipped with the HH intelligent driving system, with multi-layer sensor redundant ultra-distance perception ability, but also equipped with laser, vision and millimeter wave three different sensors, which can realize 360 comprehensive perception, truly achieve "six eyes, ear and ear". At the same time, the model also has the centimeter-level high-precision positioning ability in the whole scene, which can realize the perception and prediction performance in complex traffic scenes, and improve the safety of inverted short transportation in the factory.
Autonomous driving is divided into L0 to L5, corresponding to six levels of "emergency assistance, partial driving assistance, combined driving assistance, conditional autonomous driving, highly autonomous driving and fully autonomous driving". The pilot operation in Danzhou is mainly L3 outside the port area and L4 within the port area. According to the plan, from 2026 to 2027, the pilot operation project of intelligent connected vehicles will enter the second stage, and the pilot line will be expanded to the 70 km section from Yangpu Port to Wangfu Industrial Park, and realize autonomous container driving transportation services. By 2025, about 50 smart heavy trucks will be invested in the pilot operation of intelligent connected vehicles.
